TAIEX has started to risen from the bottom since January 2009. Although the index has came to 7,300 points until September of the same year, there are still 1,900 points difference between last May when the new government took up post. Meanwhile, Sector Index of Biotechnology & Medical Care has returned as the same index as last May, performed much better than TAIEX. It is contributed to the development strategies for six key emerging industries set by the Executive Yuan, in which medicine and health care, biotechnology, green energy, and high-end agriculture all belong to BioIndustry.
The main goal of “Biotechnology Takeoff package” announced on March 26 is to assist bio industry in breaking through the difficulties by the government. Enable the industry’s annual production value to double within the next four years, and rapidly make it a “trillion dollar industry.” The Biotechnology Venture Capital Fund (BVC), which was jointly formed by the government and the private sectors with the aim of collecting NT$10 billion of capital in the initial stage, and reveals that the government’s determination to take the lead to develop the biotechnology industry

Withdrawal
from the Exhibition
Once the deposit for the exhibition booth is paid, it will not be refunded. For exhibitor who has been allocated a booth but withdraws afterwards, the exhibition fee will not be refunded and will be used for promotional use of this exhibition.
Booths rented by the participating company cannot be transferred in private and utilized by company with a name other than the company name used during application. If a violation occurs, the organizer will have authority to take back the transferred booth and prohibit the company who does not apply for the exhibition to continue to exhibit. The transferor will be prohibited to participate in any trade promotion activity conducted in the country by the organizer for two years.
Products displayed by participating companies must be related to the exhibition theme. Otherwise, exhibition will not be allowed and all paid exhibition fees will not be refunded.
Booth Allocation and Registration
There will be no refund once the deposit has been made, the payment is non-refundable and will be used for promotional use.
Exhibitors cannot sub-let the booth to third party other than the registered company name on the application form. The organizer has right to execute confiscation if the booth is misused by non-applicants. The related applicant will not be permitted to join all trade events hosted by the organizers for two years.
The exhibits items must correspond to the theme, or the paid money will be confiscated otherwise.
Exhibitor's Meeting & Booth Allocation
The organizer will notify individual exhibitor 10 days in advance by registered mail and 3 days by telecom on appropriate date. Allocations are subjected by product categories. One cannot choose his booth across any aisles.
The selection sequence is based on booths quantities and by payment completion dates. Please refer to TAITRA's "Terms and Regulations for Participation". In the event of any occurrence not foreseen, the decision of the organizer shall be final.
It is not permit able for multiple exhibitors to occupy the same location.
